Senior Project Manager - Digital

The Christchurch City Council Digital Unit focuses on the delivery of world-class solutions that ultimately have a positive impact on the lives of everyone in Christchurch. Our project managers deliver a wide variety of challenging digital transformation projects, ranging from networking and corporate services to citizen-facing solutions for our Recreation Centers, Galleries, and Libraries.About the role | Ko te mahi neiDue to the additional project requirements and the need to address evolving digital demands, we are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager - Digital. Key responsibilities will include:Lead cross-functional project teams drawn from the Digital Unit, our business stakeholders, and our partners, to implement significant new solutions for Council.Form your project team and tailor delivery methods to suit the project goals and outcomes (people, process, and technology).You will be supported by the PM team and wider Digital unit to get up to speed at Council and understand where you fit in.Use your skills and experience to support your colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement of our delivery methods.Extensive project management experience including 10+ years successfully delivering large IT projects.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including waterfall and Agile/Lean, including a recognised certification (PMP, Prince2).An undergraduate university degree (e.g. Engineering, Science, Commerce) or equivalent.You must have great communication skills, the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, and the ability to drive decisions.If you are ambitious and looking for a new challenge then apply now.Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 37.5 - 40 hours per week.Salary: The salary range for this role is approximately $121,946 to $135,496 per annum depending on the agreement and successful candidate's skills and experience.Location: This position is primarily based at Civic Offices, Christchurch.Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may take place prior to the close date.
