For more than six decades, Holmes has led the engineering industry in invention, creativity and quality. During that time, we've worked right across New Zealand and the world, delivering premium structural and civil solutions to thousands of landmark projects. Our administration function has evolved and grown over this time and is now seen a strategic enabler for the business. With the structure we have in place and exceptional support that the function provides, it enables our people to deliver great work.
An integral part of Holmes, the Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end administration and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. This role will see you providing financial reporting, information and analysis on project performance and planning to optimise project objectives. You'll also lead the preparation and management of monthly project accounts, reports and invoices (including WIP) and ensure all billable hours and fees are accounted for and recovered. Gaining a thorough understanding of the 'bigger picture' for our infrastructure team that you support, the immense value you'll provide in this role will be through insight to projects revenue, expenses, and profitability, and project financials along with other key metrics related to the project. It's a busy and varied role, where you'll build trust and credibility with senior project team members to identify ways to work smarter not harder and embed process improvement across the lifecycle of the project.
To be considered for this role, you'll ideally be tertiary qualified, with extensive prior experience in a project administration role ideally within the construction or professional services industry. You'll have strong knowledge and understanding of Project Management Methodologies and be able to build relationships with key stakeholders with ease. Due to the scale and complexity of the projects we are working on, analysis is a crucial part of this position - so you must have proven skills in Excel to an advanced level.
In return, you'll get to be part of a vibrant culture and supportive team. We celebrate and reward successes, we nurture career development, and we always look for opportunities to make our work environment more motivating and inspirational for our people.
