Transitioning Auckland's transport network on such a mammoth scale is no mean feat and we need a talented team to ensure we are up to this task. Currently we are seeking a Senior Programme and Project Risk Specialist. This role is a senior technical expert who is responsible for providing subject matter expertise, leadership and guidance on all aspects of risk management across the infrastructure programmes and projects, ensuring sound and risk-based decisions are made by AT capital delivery team. The role will also ensure consistent and structured risk practices are embedded in portfolio, programme and project management, change management processes, systems, reporting and escalations. Responsibilities: Work with the Capital Delivery Risk Business Partner and codesign and implement best-practice risk management process, plans and tools across capital delivery. Oversee and advise across the capital delivery groups to ensure high quality project-specific risk management plans for all new programmes of work are in place and ensure all sponsors, stakeholders and interested parties understand how risks are being actively managed. Provide guidance and support to the programme and project managers and attend risk assessment workshops and meetings, specific to individual programme or project needs, and provide expert judgment on the variety of risks and issues across the wide range of the infrastructure projects and programmes. Support the Capital Delivery Risk Business Partner in providing risk analysis, financial modelling, management and reporting and in the ongoing improvement of risk tools, processes and reporting across project and programme delivery. Work closely with the Reporting and Project Support team on the various capital reporting by advising and influencing the direction of delivery of strategic programmes, through excellent risk reporting and management both in terms of team activities and financial outcome modelling. Provide high quality and easily understood reporting to ELT on risk management practice and recommended outcomes for major programmes. Minimum Requirements: Applied Hons Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Commerce, Finance, Project or Programme Management or relevant experience in projects and risk management. Extensive specialist experience in managing risks with minimum 12 years postgraduate practical experience in a complex programme or project environment. Proven capability to apply effective risk management practices. Good level of understanding of infrastructure project/programme delivery. Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to translate complex information and uncomplicate risk.
