Led by our talented teams around the world, Cubic is committed to solving global issues through innovation and service to our customers and partners.Job Details:Job Summary: Responsible for the management, performance and completion of single or multiple high technology programs that require the development (hardware and software), manufacture, and test of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
Assures that contractual obligations are met within assigned budget and schedule.
Primary contact with customer on assigned programs that generally have a total value of $15-$50 million.
This position typically works under limited supervision and direction.
Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Manages multiple programs in accordance with contracts and policies, procedures and department instructionsEnsures that contracts are met in the most efficient and profitable mannerServes as primary contact for customersLeads program execution to meet technical performance within cost and scheduleManages, oversees, monitors and approves all elements of assigned program activities from inception to completion including proposal development, product design, procurement, subcontracting, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and acceptance of productsPlans and directs integration of cross-functional program teams that represents various organizations within the Company.Effectively manages major programs ($10M or greater in sales)Performs program financial management to ensure that profit is earned and cash is collectedPerforms Earned Value management tasksActively performs risk management and pursues risk reduction on assigned programsIdentifies program issues with sufficient lead for timely resolutionWorks to grow the program through contract changes and preplanned product improvementsDevelops proposals for new businessReviews and approves technical approach, feasibility and cost estimatesLeads proposal preparation, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, negotiation and administration of contractsParticipates in marketing new technology, developing potential new business, and responsible for obtaining follow-on business in conjunction with Business DevelopmentMentors program managers in successful execution of programsMay directly manage a team and as such team management responsibilities (performance management, reviews etc) may be requiredGeneral Duties and Responsibilities:Comply with Cubic's Quality Management SystemComply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and proceduresComply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisationsOther duties as requestedMinimum Job Requirements:QualificationsEssential:University degree or equivalent in Project Management, Information Systems and Technology Management, Computer Science or other relevant disciplineProject Management Certification in Prince2 or PMBOKSkills/Experience/KnowledgeEssential:Minimum 10 years' experience in delivering projects, including complex programsMust have appropriate customer experience.
