We have been operating for over three years and are an excited bunch that love robotic solutions and are looking to bring our creations to our early adopters.About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our team in Petone, Wellington. In this role, you will focus on ensuring that our Robot Hardware is aligned with product outcomes. This portfolio is focused on the physical robot, ensuring we are building high quality, reliable and safe robots for internal and external stakeholders. The product manager will set the hardware product vision and roadmap to ensure we have the technological capability to enable the full spectrum of the entire product vision. This role will work closely with engineering, design and our customer teams to ensure the delivery of this and validate critical steps with the customer through this process. You will facilitate the necessary ceremonies to triage work and ensure sprints are effectively focused on achieving these outcomes.ResponsibilitiesProduct Vision and StrategyOwn the Product Vision for this portfolio: Contribute to the product vision and strategy, ensuring the physical robot delivers maximum value for both the customer and the business.OKR Implementation: Lead the definition and contribution to product OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) that support the broader product strategy and ensure product goals are met.Triage and Prioritization: Conduct fortnightly project triage to ensure projects are prioritized according to their value to the customer and business outcomes.Technology & Value Alignment: Communicate the limitations of the technology stack compared to desired product outcomes and ensure realistic goals are set and achieved.Functional and design requirements: Work with engineering and designs to define functional and design requirements to maximize delivery efficiency.Customer-Centric Decision MakingBe the Customer Advocate: Represent the customer in all aspects of product development, ensuring that all product work focuses on delivering customer value, not just chasing performance metrics.Feedback Integration: Regularly gather customer feedback and insights, using this information to refine the user interface and product experience across all platforms.Cross-Functional CollaborationBacklog Prioritization: Work with engineering and design teams to create and prioritize a backlog of features that align with both business and customer needs.Collaboration Across Teams: Ensure engineering teams are well-informed of priorities, product outcomes, and deadlines. Collaborate with QA to align testing efforts with product outcomes.Execution and DeliverySprint Planning: Help to implement fortnightly sprint planning sessions, ensuring that all teams (engineering, design, and QA) are aligned and focused on clear product outcomes.Project Management Oversight: Maintain a project management perspective on all ongoing engineering projects and ensure they contribute effectively to the overall product goals.QA Collaboration: Work closely with the QA team to ensure testing is aligned with product goals, helping to validate that key features and user flows meet the desired outcomes.ExperienceProduct Experience: 5+ years previous experience as a product manager.
