Clutterbot is a robotics company operating out of our headquarters in the beautiful Petone, Wellington. We have been operating for over three years and are an excited bunch that love robotic solutions and are looking to bring our creations to our early adopters.
About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Manager/Product Manager to join our team in Petone, Wellington. In this role, you will focus on ensuring that our Platform Engineering/Human-Robot-Interaction, Hardware and Design teams are aligned with product outcomes. You will facilitate the necessary ceremonies to triage work and ensure sprints are effectively focused on achieving these outcomes. You will also be closely working with our Customer Research Lead so the two of you can seamlessly represent the customer, ensuring teams are working towards delivering customer value and not just chasing performance metrics.
Responsibilities Product Vision and Strategy
Own the Product Vision for this portfolio: Contribute to the product vision and strategy, ensuring all user displays (app, website, and robot screen) deliver maximum value for both the customer and the business.
OKR Implementation: Lead the definition and contribution to product OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) that support the broader product strategy and ensure product goals are met.
Triage and Prioritization: Conduct fortnightly project triage to ensure projects are prioritized according to their value to the customer and business outcomes.
Technology & Value Alignment: Communicate the limitations of the technology stack compared to desired product outcomes and ensure realistic goals are set and achieved.
Customer-Centric Decision Making
Be the Customer Advocate: Represent the customer in all aspects of product development, ensuring that all product work focuses on delivering customer value, not just chasing performance metrics.
Feedback Integration: Regularly gather customer feedback and insights, using this information to refine the user interface and product experience across all platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Design System Consistency: Work closely with designers to ensure design system consistency across the app, website, and robot screens. This includes maintaining a seamless user experience and ensuring visual cohesion across displays.
Backlog Prioritization: Work with engineering and design teams to create and prioritise a backlog of features that align with both business and customer needs.
Collaboration Across Teams: Ensure engineering teams are well-informed of priorities, product outcomes, and deadlines. Collaborate with QA to align testing efforts with product outcomes.
Execution and Delivery
Sprint Planning: Help to implement fortnightly sprint planning sessions, ensuring that all teams (engineering, design, and QA) are aligned and focused on clear product outcomes.
Project Management Oversight: Maintain a project management perspective on all ongoing engineering projects and ensure they contribute effectively to the overall product goals.
QA Collaboration: Work closely with the QA team to ensure testing is aligned with product goals, helping to validate that key features and user flows meet the desired outcomes.

Product Experience: Previous experience in B2C product management, focusing on customer-centric products rather than B2B contracts.
Backlog & Sprint Management: Strong experience in backlog generation, sprint planning, and prioritization based on business and customer value.
Product Discovery Techniques: Solid understanding of product discovery methods, including problem definition, solution ideation, validation, and defining functional specs.
Customer Advocacy: Proven ability to advocate for customer needs and integrate customer feedback into product development.
Design Collaboration: Experience working closely with designers to ensure design system consistency and a cohesive user experience across various platforms.
Outcome-Focused Execution: Ability to keep teams focused on product outcomes rather than performance metrics, ensuring features deliver real value to the customer.
Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional communication skills to articulate product vision, strategy, and limitations of the tech stack, balancing technical and non-technical aspects.
