Senior Product Lead (Tech Ba) - Lending

Where making an impact matters. At Kiwibank, we are undergoing a significant digital transformation, and we need a seasoned Senior Product Lead for one of our Frontline Lending experience squads. The squad plays a key role in improving the experience of our staff and helping them deliver outcomes for customers by supporting and enhancing the applications which make up the end-to-end lending journey, delivering excellent experiences for lending staff to make it easier and faster for them to support our customers. Your role as Senior Product Lead will be pivotal in ensuring the squad is set up to succeed, so experience leading a development squad is essential as you'll need to hit the ground running. Day to day this could include: Backlog management – prioritise and refine the product backlog to ensure our team focuses on high-impact initiatives. Gathering and shaping user stories and acceptance criteria for refinement with your squad(s). Leading product discovery and presenting back options that both align with Technology strategy and support the business to achieve their desired outcome. Agile Leadership – maintain and enhance Agile practices within the squad, facilitating sprint planning, reviews, refinement etc. to ensure efficient and effective development cycles. Stakeholder Communications – act as the primary liaison between the development squad and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of product vision, progress, and challenges. Strategic Planning – support the Product Manager in defining the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Clearly articulating the 'why' of prioritised work, and how this will achieve measurable progress towards objectives. This is us. Where your expertise matters. Key experience and expertise you would bring to the role would include: A strong and proactive collaborator who can confidently engage with stakeholders and present meaningful insights. Proven Business analysis and product development life cycle experience. Experience leading development teams. Ability to lead and drive a team, enabling the team members to easily move from vision to delivery. Ability to think strategically and at a detailed level to cope with business and technology complexity. Ability to communicate with engineers and architects to allow for effective creation of feature and story delivery and associated success criteria. Understanding of DevSecOps processes and tooling.
