What will you be doing? Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, and based at their South Auckland production facility, here is a fantastic opportunity to lead, plan, develop, implement and review NPD projects across the adult and infant powder nutrition portfolio, as well as dietary supplement products as required.
Developing and evaluating new formulations, conducting bench top trials and providing support to produce country specific registration and other product documentation. Undertaking ingredient evaluation and approvals, and maintaining the raw material nutritional database. Evaluate ingredient replacements as required. Developing and checking finished product labelling. Identifying opportunities for product and process improvement and assisting with day-to-day technical problem solving. Help support customer queries and investigate customer complaints. What are we looking for? Tertiary degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or other science related degree. Minimum 5 years' experience in formulation, development and delivery of dairy based infant nutrition, nutritional powders or dietary supplement products. You ideally have an understanding of base formulations and experience in spray drying and wet blending. Good understanding of regulations, nutritionals labelling requirements and product registration for different countries. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are adaptable, trustworthy, and have excellent team spirit. You enjoy spending time in the factory sorting out technical issues, and are comfortable handling a busy workload where you will be juggling multiple projects. How to apply?
