About the role
Our R&D team is focused on developing respiratory support devices, with an emphasis on system algorithms that drive the overall performance of the product. Our work intersects across mechanical, electrical, and software design to bring together a world-leading product. We are passionate about creating innovative solutions that improve the quality of life for patients with respiratory conditions.
We are looking for an experienced and talented mechatronics engineer or someone with a similar qualification. You have a strong background in mathematics and physics and are interested in the interaction between the software, electronics, and mechanical design of a system. You have an attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You can communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to various audiences.
Skills and Experience
A degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience
Experience with data analysis and numerical modelling in Matlab or Python
Strong written communication skills
Enjoy using your skills to prototype, experiment, test, and design products

Day to Day Responsibilities
Your work will primarily involve a mix of lab experiments, data analysis, mathematical modelling, and documentation of your work. You will also be involved in the verification and validation of algorithms implemented in our products. You will use your skills in instrumentation, control systems, and overall device behaviour to develop and test system algorithms that optimise the performance and functionality of our respiratory support devices.
