You will lead in the design of innovative and impactful products, taking ownership of the design process from ideation to execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and strategy, ensuring that design solutions meet both user needs and business goals.Your experience and expertise will be critical in mentoring junior designers and shaping the overall design culture within the organization.Duties and responsibilities:Cultivate a proficient level of understanding of the needs of our customers and the behavior of our users.In partnership with Product Managers, engage in user research to develop user personas and models of user behavior.In partnership with Product Managers, engage in user experience testing to validate design concepts.Gaining a proficient understanding of the policies, legislative and regulatory constraints the customer operates within and contribute to the compliance of product designs within these constraints.Product DesignPlan and drive user experience design activities, providing expert advice and guidance to support the adoption of agreed approaches.Determine the approaches to be used to design user experiences.Use iterative approaches to incorporate user feedback or evaluation rapidly into designs.Integrate required visual design and branding into the user experience design activities.Plan and drive visual design activities, displaying a mastery of color theory, typography and layout principles, to create a coherent and attractive design aesthetic.Plan and drive interaction designs, displaying a mastery of interaction design principles that result in fluid and natural user flows, ensuring that users can achieve their goals with efficiency and satisfaction.Plan and drive the creation of wireframes and mock-ups. Displays a mastery of design tools such as Figma.Manage user experience evaluation of systems, products, services or devices.Assure that the security, usability and accessibility requirements have been met and that required practices have been followed.Advise on what to evaluate, the type of evaluation to use and the extent of user involvement required.Work iteratively with design teams to ensure that feedback from the evaluation is understood and acted upon by designers and developers. Advise on the achievement of required usability and accessibility levels of specific designs or prototypes. Prioritize input for future user research.Champion user-centered design and secures organizational commitment to the significant involvement of users in research.Develop organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for user research.Develop or source organizational resources and capabilities to facilitate the adoption and exploitation of user research.Support the availability of user research, product usage, and customer success data to the product design team. Removes impediments to data access, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration around data. Promote the adoption of best practices and educate on industry trends regarding customer intimacy through data. Build inter-departmental relationships to support collaboration around customer data.QualificationsA bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Product Design in a related field is essential.Minimum 7 years' experience working in a Product Design team within a commercial software product company.Has proficient knowledge of the product and domain which is continuously growing through deliberate effort. Has proficient knowledge of the product fit into solutions for the Segments and Industries served by the product.Has established high-trust cross-functional relationships with colleagues in product management, engineering and peers in the product design team.Work includes a broad range of complex technical or professional activities, in a variety of contexts. Investigates, defines and resolves complex issues.
