About the role The purpose of the Senior Procurement Advisor role is to provide support, advice and play a key role in the delivery of procurement and contract management activities for the Council Group ensuring procurement principles, policies, tools and processes are adhered to and best practices are followed, achieving optimal value and managing risk acceptably.

The Senior Procurement Advisor will play a critical role in collaborating across the Council Group, enabling and supporting ongoing improvement in the maturity of procurement activities and delivery for the future.

About You To be successful in this role you will possess: An in-depth understanding of procurement principles and processes Proven experience in working with local government is advantageous though not essential Experience in contract management, supporting systems and complex processes Proven track record of supporting change and implementing new tools Recognised supply chain management qualification or similar is a nice to have Outstanding relationship building and stakeholder management skills coupled with finely tuned interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written In return We offer a fantastic working environment and a career that you will enjoy and can take real pride in.
