The role is focussed on providing leadership, support, guidance and management in the uptake of value for money and fit for purpose procurement processes across the organisation. On a day to day basis you can expect to:
Identify strategic procurement opportunities to promote best practice by evaluating All of Government Contracts, Common Capability Contracts, and Syndicated Agreements for fit for purpose and maintaining an overview of relevant procurement activities being undertaken via government procurement mechanisms such as GETS notificationsManage national supply contracts, including travel, fleet, office consumables and insuranceDraft/review contracts and make recommendations on contract content, including property leases, as these are established, renegotiated or variedE pa ana ki te tima | About the team This is a newly established team at Te Kura. The Procurement team will provide strategic procurement leadership and operational support in contract management, the development of procurement options and maintenance of policies and procedures. Contracts are owned by the business unit, with shared accountabilities for performance reporting, monitoring progress, general performance and delivery.
You will be focused on the day to day delivery providing leadership, support, guidance and management in the uptake of value to money and fit for purpose processes.We are looking for someone who has exceptional relationship management skills and a demonstrated understanding in contract/ supplier management and negotiations. You will be solutions focused and ideally have experience training staff and making presentations on complex issues.
