We are looking for Senior Electrical Engineers to join our Transmission and Distribution teams to work on substation design for our clients. Whether you find yourself at the outset of your engineering journey as an entry-level professional or come equipped with a wealth of experience as a seasoned senior or principal engineer, we've created a dedicated space for you to thrive and make a meaningful impact.
We have offices in Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland, and we are pleased to offer flexibility in work location. Remote work options are available.
Daily responsibilities may include:
Develop and design substations for network growth, decarbonisation and renewable projects
Feasibility investigations, concept studies, detailed designs
For primary substation design, responsibilities may include equipment layout, switchboard and cable design and overall project coordination of draughtspersons and geotechnical, structural and civil engineers.
For substation protection and automation design, responsibilities may include the development of protection drawings, running of power system studies to determine protection settings for line, feeder, bus and transformer protection schemes.
Opportunity to lead and manage project teams as a technical lead or become a technical specialist in your field
Preparing high-quality written reports, drawings and setting files and presentations, for both internal and customer consumption
We are looking for a self-driven team player who has excellent interpersonal skills. The successful applicants will have a BE Electrical/Electronic Engineering (NZQA Level 8) or Washington Accord recognised equivalent.
