Te Haeata/The OpportunityAre you an experienced senior policy advisor with a proven track record in delivering legislative change?Our work in the Policy Group is wide ranging, with opportunities to shape thinking and drive legislative change across the justice sector and all of government. It's interesting and challenging, with a chance to apply your critical thinking and relationship management skills.We are seeking senior policy advisors (permanent and fixed term). Senior Policy Advisors lead programmes of work, coach more junior staff and are supported by our Principal Advisors. These roles require a strong policy skill set, preferably with an emphasis on regulatory policy.Te ahuatunga a te turanga / About the roleSuccessful candidates are appointed to the Policy Group, and these roles will be placed in the Family Law policy team or Courts System Policy team. These teams are leading work related to court timeliness and efficiency as well as supporting the development and implementation of policy and legislation. However, other Senior Advisor opportunities may arise over the recruitment period, so if you are interested in working in Justice policy more generally, we would welcome your application.O pukenga/Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for someone with a proven track record in:analysing complex policy issues and providing clear advicestrong relationship management with diverse internal and external stakeholdersprioritising, planning and delivering on multiple workstreamsexcellent communication, including being able to clearly and simply explain complex information for Ministers and other audiencescoaching and mentoring.The successful candidates will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
