Senior Policy Advisor

Role: Senior Policy Analyst (6 month FTC)
Salary: Competitive and based on experience
Location: Wellington
Our client is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to join their team in Wellington. This role is at the heart of their mission to improve people's lives by using data to understand needs and implement evidence-based approaches. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence cross-sector work addressing social sector challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a passion for making a difference.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of robust system policy advice
Work effectively in cross-functional teams to develop policy advice based on data-driven research
Identify and anticipate policy issues and research objectives
Ensure quality of policy advice through peer review process and application of the Policy Quality Framework
Maintain and integrate up-to-date knowledge of policy frameworks and best practices

What you'll need:

Experience at a senior level providing policy advice and strategic thinking
Ability to persuade, influence and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Understanding of machinery of government, including the public policy process
