For this role you must: Have a relevant Planning Degree Know your way around the Resource Management Act 1991. At least 7 years' experience in processing Planning and Resource Management applications Be a member of the New Zealand or Australian Planning Institutes (or be eligible for membership) Have the ability to work independently. What will I be part of? The Planning Guidance Unit are a team of dedicated and supportive professionals who thrive on building relationships and working on a variety of projects. We have a strong sense of community and work towards the common goal of ensuring the city is well designed, safe and embraces growth. To maximise the growth of our teams all planners undertake a wide range of consents, so you won't be pigeonholed into processing just one type.
To facilitate this the unit is divided into small teams, overseen by experienced team leads who you can bounce ideas off, and where you can also collaborate with other team members or teams. This allows you to effectively apply your skills and experience across an exciting range of applications within New Zealand's fastest growing city.
