We are seeking a talented Pipeline Developer to join our visionary team and help build the next generation of virtual production pipelines for the4th instalment of the Avatar franchise. In this role, you will work closely with directors, creative teams, stage artists, and developers across our Los Angeles and New Zealand locations to design and implement advanced workflows, enabling them to visualize and craft stunning cinematic scenes. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in creating ground breaking visual experiences and helping filmmakers bring their visions to life.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Pipeline Developer, you'll be part of a small, dynamic team driving our transition to Unreal Engine. You'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing tools that empower our artists and technical directors, while helping to define standards that will shape our future workflows.
Design and developadvanced pipeline tools and systems within Unreal Engine.
Collaborate closely with a small, cross-functional teamand work directly with our amazing artists and creative teams to integrate Unreal workflows into our VFX pipeline seamlessly.
Lead greenfield projectsthat establish workflow standards for years to come.
Troubleshoot and resolvecomplex issues related to Unreal Engine integration, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
About You:
We're looking for a senior-level developer with the technical skill and foresight to lead pipeline initiatives and the adaptability to thrive in a small, collaborative team.
Extensive experience in Unreal Engine, real-time rendering, and editor extensions, with familiarity in the Slate UI framework as a plus.
Proficiency in Python and C++, with a strong understanding of VFX production workflows.
Experience with scene description frameworks such as USD, or similar, to support real-time pipeline integration.
Collaborative, problem-solving mindsetwith a genuine passion for greenfield development.
Ability to lead by example, mentor junior developers, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
