Senior Physiotherapist in Older Peoples HealthOpportunity to join our Physiotherapy team in our Older People's Health wards (Mana Awhi) as a Senior Physiotherapist.Supportive, friendly multidisciplinary team with great onboardingTe whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We are looking an experienced NZ Registered Physiotherapist to work as a Senior in our Older People's Health wards (Mana Awhi). This role is based at Auckland City Hospital and is a permanent, full-time position 1FTE (40 hours/week). This key role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist wanting to develop their leadership capabilities and advance their skills in:
Implementing evidence-based practice and service developmentMotivating, guiding and developing staffClinical leadership This role will also see you performing the below duties:
Manage a clinical caseload while providing day to day coordination and leadership for a small teamAssist in the rehabilitation of patients over the age of 65 with a range of diagnoses including acute care for elderly, amputees, orthopaedic fractures and elective surgery, stroke and neurological conditions, falls prevention and many othersWork collaboratively within an multidisplinary team to provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and treatment plans.Participate in our weekend and on-call rosterAs the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
New Zealand registration as a Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate4+years post-graduate experience including clinical experience working in older persons healthA flexible, pro-active and can-do approach with experience supporting staff and studentsExcellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practiceEvidence of establishing and developing working relationships within the wider MDTEffective time management, prioritisation and organisation skillsUnderstanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to provide culturally safe careFor more information about this role please contact Nina Mackenzie (Clinical Lead Physiotherapy – Clinical Support) on ******

Salary Range: Step 9 $106000 to Step 12 $114000 (depending on experience)
