Design learning: As this is a new role starting the senior sciencecurriculum the successful applicant will be required todevelop the written, taught and assessed curriculum for Physics and Chemistry ?
Revolutionise Learning: Deliver a Physics and Chemistry curriculum that goes beyond the ordinary, incorporatingrelevant, exciting and complex concepts, real-world applications, and hands-onprojects that captivate and challenge.

Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and visionarySenior Physics and Chemistry Facilitator who can inspire students to explore the wonders ofscience while thinking outside the box.
The ideal candidate will go beyond NZ's standardcurriculum, creating deep, relevant learning experiences that extend far beyond simply achievingthe NCEA qualification.
Liger does not do Level 1, instead delivering some Level 2 standardsin Y11.

Teaching and Learning in Liger's Essentialsprogram: ?
Contribute to scope and sequence documentsin line with our desired outcomes ?
Design curriculum and align with the newNZ curriculum ?
Juniors - collaborate with Head of Scienceon the planning and delivery of curriculum and Liger's criterion-basedassessment and reporting systems ?
Seniors - design and deliver curriculum -align with selected NCEA L2 Science Achievement Standards ?
Year 12 Physics and Chemistry courses - 3contact hours each with an additional hour as self study ?
Co facilitate Year 11 General Sciencecourse - 2 contact hours p/w ?
One morning duty and one Lunch duty ?
Expectation to offer an after schoolExtension activity ?
Always required as a Liger facilitator ?
Continuously seek out and implement thelatest educational trends and methodologies to ensure our scienceprograms are at the cutting edge of educational innovation.

Promote a skills and inquiry basedlearning approach with a focus on innovation, leadership and developing anentrepreneurial mindset ?

Qualifications and Experience ?
Be a registered Teacher in NZ or with theability to gain registration ?
A degree in Physics, Chemistry, or arelated field.
?
Experience in teaching Physics andChemistry at the secondary school level ?
Strong understanding of the NCEAqualification framework ?
Excellent communication and interpersonalskills, the ability to inspire and engage students.
