Where you'll be working: Waikato HospitalThe details: Permanent - Full time 40 hours per week Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We are seeking a pharmacist, ideally specialised in medicines safety and medicines related informatics and data analysis information, to join our Pharmacy Services team here at Waikato Hospital, Health New Zealand - Waikato.
As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in developing our service approach to pharmaceutical information technology initiatives, data analysis and management coupled with developing relevant medicines safety initiatives for Waikato district and potentially the Te Manawa Taki region.
Day to day you will be working within our Quality and Safe Use of Medicines team, support our service to respond to pharmaceutical analysis and audit requests, developing our IT approach to medicines management, and contributing to other medicines information and safety initiatives.
This is a full time permanent position where you will work Monday to Friday, an 8 hour shift with flexibility between 0730 – 1700.
Our pharmacists in this particular team are usually rostered to work the occasional Saturday and can undertake on call duties if trained and required.
Key responsibilities of the role: * Respond to requests for data analysis and undertaken audit.
* Overall development of the pharmacy service use of technology.
* Incorporate new technologies and data management into the medicines information and safety service.
* Provide support for all QSUM team activities and services.
* Participate in relevant projects and be a key pharmacy representative.

Mou | About youSkills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role: * Full registration with Pharmacy Council of NZ, with a current Pharmacist Annual Practising Certificate (or to be gained within 3 months of supervised practise).
* 5+ years' experience as a pharmacist, with at least 3+ years working as a pharmacist in a hospital setting, ideally with clinical ward experience.
* Previous information technology development / informatics experience.
Previous experience with development and support of medicines safety initiatives.
* Post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy advantageous.
