Senior Pharmacist, Infection and General Medicine, Auckland City Hospital1.0 FTE permanent position (part-time and job share considered)Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The department of Pharmacy at Te Toka Tumai Auckland is looking for a highly motivated pharmacist to provide a quality pharmacy service to our various Mental Health centres. This is an outstanding opportunity to take your practice to the next level in a world-class clinical environment. 
Te Toka Tumai's Mental Health directorate has approximately 130 inpatient beds and covers many areas in general and specialist mental health services including adult, child and adolescents, older adults and rehabilitation services. It's an innovative, professionally stimulating work environment where you'll enjoy opportunity to get involved in the development of protocols, prescriptions and guidelines, and education and training of pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team in order to facilitate good prescribing practice
Provide a comprehensive medication review service for patients in the Mental Health unitsWork closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to promote the quality use of medicinesAssist with discharge planning and patient educationWork within a team of clinical pharmacists and provide both clinical leadership and support to junior colleaguesFor more information, please contact Kristen Greville – Associate Clinical Lead Pharmacist on ******  or 021 0413017
You will be an enthusiastic clinical pharmacist, committed to furthering yourself and your peers with the ability to role model the Te Toka Tumai values.
Qualified with a B.Pharm degree with NZ registration or applicable NZ recognised qualification from overseas, postgraduate clinical qualifications are desirable.Registered, or be eligible for registration, with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate3+ years hospital pharmacy experience, with recent mental health experience highly desirableQuick to pick up new concepts and strong attention to detailDrive, enthusiasm and initiative with excellent organisational and inter-personal skills are essentialAbility to work in a bicultural environment and knowledge of the acute hospital environmentPro-active and can-do approach with the ability to be flexible and work autonomously as well as in a teamExcellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to develop close working relationships across disciplinesWe recognise there is more to life than mahi | work, and we encourage and provide access to all our staff several services and benefits to support themselves whilst they are employed within Te Toka Tumai Auckland.
