About the Role
This role requires a proactive professional with technical depth across multiple fields (e.g. data science, modelling and dashboarding), and the ability to operate independently. We will look to you to develop key people information metrics and data driven reports that support the Ministry to make informed decisions and to easily identify trends and areas of focus.
Bring your analytical skills, strong initiative, and relationship management abilities to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the People Division's core analytics capability
Be a key influencer and designer of analytics assessments and dashboards
Champion data integrity and identify opportunities for improvements
Conduct high quality analysis, modelling, and research to support the Ministry's people data goals
Support key stakeholders to understand the value of people data
Use effective visualisation techniques to deliver impactful reporting
Who Are We Looking For?
We'd like to hear from you if you are a senior analyst and self-starter with the following skills and experience:
Must have initiative, a high attention to detail, and comfort working independently
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data to inform decisions
Experience in data modelling techniques
Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills
Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Maori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Maori (the Maori worldview) into your work.
If you are just starting on this journey that's OK too as long as you have a willingness to learn and a desire to develop your cultural capability.
Salary and Benefits
The full salary range for this role is $104,670 and $141,612 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. Salary appointment will be depending on your level of skills and experience.
