This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it…Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityThe Senior Payroll Specialist is tasked with leading, management and delegation of the pay run process ensuring a high-quality payroll service to the employees of Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora. We currently have a full-time permanent position available for a motivated and experienced Payroll Specialist to join the team.You will be required to:Work autonomously and within the payroll team to ensure a timely, efficient and accurate end to end payroll and reconciliation process.Proactively troubleshoot, implement changes, action audit checks and suggest improvements.Work to share their knowledge in a busy team environment ensuring all processes are fully documented and audited at all times.A minimum of five years' payroll experiencePractical experience in payrollA working knowledge of pay related employment legislation and best practiceKnowledge and understanding of Payroll systemsKnowledge of the Holidays Act (2003) and its requirements and the practical application of these requirements from a payroll and business perspective is preferredA commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this roleCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthKo te mahi e tika ana mo te ao hurihuri nei |Work that suits today's ever-changing worldTe Whatu Ora supports flexible and hybrid working for our kaimahi.
