Senior Payroll Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join an experienced in-house team within the Workforce Development and HR Department.
In this hands-on role, you'll take the lead on a fortnightly payroll function while ensuring data integrity within our People and Culture systems.
You'll also receive dedicated support as you transition into a leadership role, guiding a Payroll Administrator and helping shape the future of a timely and accurate payroll function.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure a seamless end-to-end payroll process, including PAYE obligations.
Process IRD reconciliations, payday filings, and manual corrections.
Collaborate with other teams within People and Culture.
Seek opportunities to enhance the payroll lifecycle with a focus on customer experience.
Required Skills and Experience: 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience.
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation (e.g., Holidays Act, Wages Protection Act).
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Tech-savvy and proficient in Excel, with a drive for innovation and efficiency.
