Wellington only: At present, we are only seeking candidates who are currently based in Wellington or willing to relocate to Wellington with full working rights.
Our client is looking for a Senior Network Tester in Wellington. If you have a good understanding of MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching), including LSP (Label Switched Paths) in Nokia and have strong network testing experience, please apply now.
This role will heavily involve testing, so you must have extensive MPLS network testing experience. Nokia experience is essential.
Networking Fundamentals MPLS Technology: Understanding of MPLS architecture, including LSP, label distribution protocols, and MPLS traffic engineering.
IP Networking: Proficiency in IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and network topologies.
Quality of Service (QoS): Knowledge of QoS mechanisms, including traffic prioritization, and ensuring low latency and jitter in MPLS networks.
Testing and Troubleshooting Skills Network Testing Tools: Proficiency with tools like Albedo or Spirent for capturing and analyzing network traffic, simulating network conditions, and verifying MPLS path performance.
Latency and Jitter Testing: Ability to measure and assess latency, jitter, and packet loss.
Simulation and Emulation: Experience in using network simulators or emulators to test under different network conditions.
Security Awareness Network Security: Knowledge of security practices in MPLS networks, including encryption, VPNs, and access control mechanisms.
Documentation and Reporting Test Plan Development: Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts tailored to MPLS networks.
Reporting: Skill in documenting test results, analyzing performance metrics, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
