Add expected salary to your profile for insights.This is a full-time role based in Whangarei at our main office, with visits to client sites at times and flexibility for some work from home.You will work closely with our Account Managers, System Engineers, and other team members to help design and implement reliable network and ICT solutions for both our clients and internal IT systems.You will work on IT projects & upgrades, develop and improve network and security products and services, provide mentorship to other team members, and be an escalation point for complex issues.The role will support a variety of different customer types from small businesses of a few users up to larger organisations with hundreds of users.To be successful in this role you must have the following attributes:Great team player and communication skillsAbility to engage with customers and vendorsPrevious experience working in a similar roleA current NZ driver's license is requiredA passion for problem solving and learning new technologiesIndustry-related qualifications and training will be advantageousSome of the key tasks in this role:Project Work – Short and/or long term client engagements to deliver IT solutionsArchitecture & Product Development – Implement new technologies to develop and bring to market new network and security servicesTechnical Support – Provide ongoing technical support for clients and act as an escalation point for complex issuesAdministration – Regularly maintain job notes, time entries, and documentationCore skills and technologies required for this role:Deep understanding and experience of designing, implementing, and troubleshooting networks including switching and routing, dynamic routing protocols, segmentation, WIFI, and quality of serviceA CCNP level of knowledge and significant experience in one or more major vendor spaces – Cisco, HPE, Juniper, Mikrotik, ArubaA security-first ethos with knowledge of security standards and processesAdvanced knowledge and experience in implementing and configuring firewall technologiesConfidence and experience in presenting reports and solutions to clients both in person and in written formOther Advantageous Skills and AttributesMicrosoft stack of server-based products including Windows Server, SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, Remote DesktopCloud products including Azure Active Directory & Microsoft 365Experience working with Linux-based systemsExperience working with IT security productsLife at NorthCloud:We aspire to be Northland's best IT service provider.
