Key Responsibilities Provide naval architecture input and design support, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while assessing risk factors. Offer supporting Naval Architecture authority and management, ensuring outputs meet customer requirements and regulatory standards. Demonstrate leadership by mentoring less experienced staff, performing lead roles on projects, and supporting senior team members. Manage and oversee Naval Architecture projects, ensuring high standards, minimal re-work, and adherence to budgets and timelines. Ensure professional output and quality control by adhering to company standards, conducting peer reviews, and promoting good engineering practices. About you We are seeking a candidate with a degree or equivalent in Naval Architecture or a related technical discipline, with a minimum of five years of experience in the marine industry, particularly in shipbuilding and repair. You will have strong design experience in marine ship repair/conversion and proficiency in CAD software packages. You will possess effective time management and analytical skills, with the ability to translate concepts into practical solutions. Additionally, strong interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities, and a customer-focused approach are essential/ Key Required Skills Degree or equivalent in Naval Architecture or associated technical discipline is essential, additional Project Management Qualifications would be highly regarded. Design experience in the marine ship repair/conversion sector. Proficiency in CAD software packages and Microsoft applications. Ability to translate concepts into practical solutions. Effective time management, planning, and estimating effort. Strong oral communication, interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities.
