In this position you will be responsible for providing Social Work intervention and support to patients and their whaanau in medical service areas. A commitment to working with other disciplines within a multidisciplinary team environment is important.Your understanding of health and disability issues together with sound counselling and a robust understanding of frontline trauma intervention skills will enable you to work with patients and their families in a therapeutic and holistic way.You will have a recognised Social Work Qualification and be registered with the Social Work board. A minimum of 5 years of social work experience is essential within an acute hospital setting. We are seeking a Social Worker who has drive and determination and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, in an ever-changing environment.
