About the Role Be part of the national transformation in healthBe part of a high performing Children's Health whanauSupportive multi-disciplinary team environmentAn opportunity to work in NICU at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand has arisen to cover one of our current SMO's on sabbatical leave for a period of 3 months. We are seeking a Neonatologist to join our dedicated team who are committed to providing excellent service to the tamariki/children in the Waikato. The position includes participation in the on-call roster.
As a service, our highest priorities include commitment to equity-based service delivery, excellence of neonatal care, optimal team-based working and teaching and training of junior doctors.
Minimum Requirements To apply for this position, you must hold or be eligible to apply for a vocational scope of practice in Paediatrics with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

About You Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:
Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o WaitangiVocational registration in a medical specialityRegistration with the Medical Council of New Zealand with scope of practiceA practising certificate with the Medical Council of New ZealandCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
