Senior Mechanical Engineer - New Product Development

The OpportunityAs a senior level engineer with a 'hands-on' approach to finding ingenious solutions and a passion for all things mechanical, you will excel as an integral part of this experienced and collaborative engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lend your mechanical engineering expertise to new product design solutions.What Will You Be DoingYour role will have a strong focus on machinery design from concept through to manufacturing introduction, and will include the design of castings, machined parts, fabrications, hydraulic control system elements and related assemblies.
You will also be engaged in prototyping and design verification activities as well as new product introduction with manufacturing and suppliers.What Will You BringTo succeed in this role you will need:Extensive product design experience within the capital equipment manufacturing sector, ideally with rotating machinery such as pumps, turbines, generators, engines or transmission equipment.A strong practical orientation and affinity with a low volume, capital machinery, manufacturing environment.The ability to take a design through prototype, testing and commercialisation phases is essential.Highly developed CAD capabilities and ideally experience with associated product lifecycle management systems.Good knowledge of computer aided engineering tools such as finite element analysis would be highly desirable.A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering.Excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with internal product stakeholders and suppliers.What's on offerCompetitive remunerationGreat company cultureInteresting and challenging workSupportive environment for ongoing professional developmentWhat nextApply online or email your LinkedIn Profile or CV to ******.
