Our client is world-leading in the design of production machinery in search of an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. With a reputation for innovative designs, they have worked with some of the world's largest manufacturers to design, implement and maintain their production plants.
The Role
Based in South Auckland, you will be responsible for supporting a team of design engineers producing conceptual design from initial proposals through to supporting the build and testing of prototypes adhering to the technical specifications.
Working alongside the design manager, your day-to-day will be a split between design and design lead, working with external stakeholders supporting the full design lifecycle from contributing initial specifications ideas through to technical support in the assembly and commission phases.
About You
Working in a team with a range of experience could see someone coming from a senior design position ready to take on more project ownership or an experienced intermediate ready to step into a mentoring position.
Additionally, you will hold:

At least 5 years 3D CAD design experience in machine design or tooling
Project design leadership, producing designs to ISO standards
Relevant tertiary qualification (such as a Bachelor of Engineering or NZCE/NZDE)
