Re-Generate is a rapidly growing engineering consultancy, primarily operating in the dynamic and expanding renewables sector. We have offices in Christchurch and New Plymouth and employ 40 staff. We are involved in a wide range of commercial activities such as consulting, design, supply, specialist services, and contracting.
Re-Generate primarily operates within the hydro-generation sector, but also leverages its specialist skills and services across a diverse array of industries, including wind and geothermal generation, gas, heavy industrial, and municipal sectors.
We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to work on a variety of projects for a range of blue-chip clients across Australia and New Zealand. Candidates must have a mechanical engineering degree with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a relevant industry. Candidates will have broad exposure to a range of analysis or design skills combined with strong project management capabilities.
You will be both an analytical and practical person, able to identify, quantify and optimise solutions to problems from base principles, as well as being able to validate the improvements after site installation. You will also have a high degree of commercial nous and be able to interact with your team members as well as our customers on both technical and commercial issues.
Re-Generate provides an extremely broad range of services and is involved with a diverse range of interesting projects. Due to this diversity of activities, we have a range of personal development opportunities available, and training will be provided where required. The types of activities we envisage for this particular role will be tailored to the individual, but will likely include elements of:
Design Engineering including Analysis, CAD and 3D Modelling (Solidworks)
Project Scoping and Planning
Specification and procurement of equipment
Site Visits including participating in specialist services such as 3D Scanning, Laser Surveys, Positive Material Identification and Vibration Analysis
Use of software packages such as AutoPIPE, PV Elite, ANSYS and PULS.
