As a Senior Manager Risk and Compliance, you will be working with the business to provide quality advice and direction on risk, compliance and conduct risk management issues. You will provide meaningful input to ensure compliance and conduct risks are captured, risk mitigation strategies and controls are developed, and appropriate reporting mechanisms implemented. This role also supports the business on identification and management of strategic and emerging risks. Key responsibilities include: Identify, manage, and monitor all operational and compliance risks within Product, Sustainability and Marketing (PSM). Provide proactive risk, compliance, and conduct advice and guidance to key stakeholders within the business units. Strengthen and leverage relationships across senior management, PSM and the wider Westpac enterprise teams to embed a strong and impactful proactive risk culture. Monitor and report on PSM's risk management appetite and strategies, including all day-to-day requirements set by Westpac New Zealand Limited's (WNZL) Risk Frameworks and Policies. Promote a collaborative culture focusing on performing, fixing, and simplifying. Na tau rourou | What will you bring? Demonstrable commercial acumen and risk awareness, including practical working knowledge of key activities required to successfully perform this role. Strong understanding of banks, products and processes and the regulatory environment they operate in. 5 years' work experience in a risk discipline (credit management, compliance, audit, or operational risk), incorporating sound experience in Operational Risk & Compliance (design, application & monitoring). A collaborative and passionate mindset to help drive a focus on enhancing and simplifying. Ability to act independently within agreed frameworks. Experience managing competing demands within complicated projects/programmes of work. Extensive stakeholder management experience including dealing with senior management and specialists.
