This pivotal role is essential to driving strategic financial decision-making and supporting the company's long-term financial health. The Senior Manager – Performance, Planning, and Commercial, is responsible for providing financial insights, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to senior management, ensuring that the company remains agile and proactive in a competitive market. This role reports directly to the CFO.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and present both short- and long-term financial forecasts supporting the shaping of future strategies for the business ensuring a proactive and forward-thinking approach.Lead the Budget and Forecasting process coordination with key stakeholders.Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize financial outcomes.Support the Finance Leadership team with data analysis across the business, working with the actuarial team to deliver business intelligence.Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.Provide financial review and analysis of commercial initiatives.Provide quality and insightful analysis incorporating both internal and external data sources.Lead the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, as well as CA, CPA or CFA qualification.10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the financial services industry.Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Proficient in financial modelling and forecasting techniques.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a team.Knowledge of New Zealand's financial regulations and reporting standards.Exceptional data analysis skills with the ability to extract insight from multiple and complex data repositories.This is a newly created role that will add significant value to the organization and the wider finance function.
