You will be part of a dynamic team driving change and innovation in a prestigious university setting, collaborating with senior leadership and making a tangible impact on the student and staff experience.
The role/Te mahi As Senior Manager of the Continuous Improvement Team, you will step into a pivotal role during a period of parental leave cover.
You will lead our disciplines of service design, process improvement (including methodologies like Lean Six Sigma), and process automation. You'll spearhead a team of highly skilled experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Collaborating closely with senior staff members to identify improvement opportunities and champion initiatives that enhance the University's operations.Leading the development and implementation of innovative solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness across all facets of the organisation.Mentoring and empowering team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Challenging outdated policies and processes, advocating for change that aligns with the evolving needs of our students and staff. Your skills and experience/Ka pukeka me ka wheako You will be a motivated go-getter, who thrives on challenges in pursuit of improvement opportunities and excels at working with senior leadership, building trust, and challenging outdated norms to drive change.
Successful candidates will have:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience in service design, process improvement, and process automation.Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading high-functioning teams.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other continuous improvement frameworks. Further details/Puroko This is a full-time (37.5 hours), fixed term (to February 2025) position, located in Dunedin.
The appointment range for this position is $107,664 to $120,754 per annum.
