Operating as a cross-A*STAR initiative, SRTTs are geared at delivering impact and outcomes in specific thematic areas. Led by the A*STAR Research Office (RO), SRTTs will be actively managed where the SRTT Programme Directors and research team members will be provided dedicated central support. Under the newly established Central Initiative Administration (CIA), A*STAR is recruiting a Manager/Senior Manager/Assistant Director for SRTT Programme Research Administration and Operations.Responsibilities & DutiesSupport the overall administration, office management and operations of SRTTs, including research admin support (e.g., support Project Investigators (PI) in grant administration and reporting, ethics review, research software support, scientific advisory panel meeting logistics, etc.)Provide corporate and business service support to SRTTs, working with Corporate Group (CG) and Space, Infrastructure and Admin (SpIA) Partners and Research Institute (RI) admin teams.Craft, review, and implement business process workflows to achieve efficiency and optimization.Work with the Central Initiative Directorate (CID) team to manage and track the operating budget for supporting the SRTTs; this includes costs of SRTT staff training, development and engagement, engaging experts / advisors, CG support, and other costs that may not be directly attributed to specific SRTTs.Work closely with RO and other relevant stakeholders to formulate, communicate, and implement administrative policies and procedures, adhering to relevant A*STAR policies and guidelines.Onboard new staff and students, including visiting scientists/professors.Plan and prioritize to cater to the different needs of SRTTs.Requirements:Preferably possess a BSc or BA in a scientific discipline.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in research administration and operations preferred.Strong analytical and system thinking abilities, and good project management skills.Good communication and presentation skills(both written and oral).Ability to build relationship and work across different functions and departments.Proficiency in data analytics is a bonus.The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
