Senior Manager / Assistant Director, Network (Itss) (3 Years Renewable Contract)

Details of the offer

Lead the network operations team supporting the daily requirements to deliver Wired Network (LAN/WAN), Wireless Network, and Voice services to support A*STAR's Corporate and Scientific business requirements.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead and manage the delivery of network services and initiatives for A*STAR.
Ensure the smooth and reliable network operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
Implement solutions in an enterprise network infrastructure and participate in network-related audit activities. Involved in the full spectrum of project activities, including technical design, conduct Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), project management, engineering & integration, and acceptance testing & commissioning.
Liaise with all relevant internal and external parties to ensure timely completion and implementation of projects in line with requirements, schedule, and budget.
Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs or business requirements.
Drive efforts to restore, recover, or alter configurations, logical or physical, to maintain service integrity.
Participate and lead problem resolution and root cause analysis.
Perform analysis on network and gather insights on performance leading to potential planning and driving of network improvement initiatives.
Take initiative to proactively discover and remediate deficiencies in network solutions, both deployed and in the design phase.
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the IT industry.
Able to lead, design, and develop network and customize network solutions to meet business and/or users' requirements.
Responsible for technically leading and managing multiple network projects.
Comfortable and proficient in drafting network diagrams and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent).
Network certification (CCNP/CCIE) is mandatory.
At least 8 years of strong knowledge with in-depth hands-on experience in core network technologies such as routing & switching, wireless, and voice.
Knowledge of LAN, WAN & Wireless, switching & routing technologies (such as VLAN, STP, VRF, OSPF, BGP, etc.), MPLS, IPv6, Multicast, L3VPN, QoS, CoS/DSCP, DNS/DHCP, NAC is required.
Knowledge and experience in SD Access, SD-WAN, Cloud & Network Automation will be an added advantage.
Strong communication and written skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills in a multi-tasking, fast-paced, and complex work environment.
Ability to work as a team and independently with minimum supervision.
At least 5 years of experience leading a network operations team supporting over 1000 users.
