Our friendly Aquatic Services team are seeking a Senior Lifeguard for a permanent full-time role.
This position is 80hours per fortnight to be worked according to a four-week rotating roster, shifts will generally be worked between 5.20am and 9.30pm, Monday to Sunday.
Key responsibilities for this role include: Supervise our pool users, using available areas and rotations to provide constant supervisionof our facilitiesWork with the Supervisor to action staff rotations as instructed, ensuring pool supervision meets Pool Safe standards and other industry best practice or guidelinesSupport the Supervisor to provide effective supervision of Lifeguards, and ensuring delegated work tasks are communicated as directed by the SupervisorParticipate in the delivery of safe and effective aquatic operations, including the daily programme and implementing day to day changes required to pool activitiesWhat you will bring: Be a confident swimmer and able to pass an initial water based skills testBe willing to gain a National Pool Lifeguard certificate (level 3) and a First Aid certificateDemonstrated experience in customer relations and communication skillsExperience in supervision of staffProven Lifeguarding experienceWhat we offer: Team members and immediate family swim free of charge - free swimming lessons for school age childrenCareer progression and training/development opportunitiesPositive focus of employee health and well-being: Workstation assessments, free flu vaccines, EAP services, half price eye exams, discounted gym membershipsKiwisaver and Superannuation SchemesAccess to sick leave from day one of employmentWaihopai Invercargill is New Zealand's southernmost city and the heart and hub of Southland.
