About the role:
As a Senior Lifeguard at Selwyn Aquatic Centre, you will supervise the Lifeguards on shift, leading by example to ensure we are maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all of our facility users by:

Delivering exceptional customer service
Assisting with rostering
Water quality testing
Reporting
Promoting and delivering ongoing training and development for the team
Troubleshooting
Providing professional day to day guidance and support to the team

This role is 76 hours per fortnight working the following roster:
Week One:Tuesday - Friday 5.30am - 1.30pm and Saturday 7.30-4pm.
Week Two:Tuesday - Friday 1.30pm - 9.30pm and Saturday 12-8.30pm
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have some day to day supervisory or leadership experience (this can be across any industry) alongside a genuine interest in aquatics or sport and recreation.
We'll provide fully paid Lifeguard training where you will gain a nationally recognised qualification.
You will come to us with natural leadership abilities, high levels of motivation and be keen to learn.
You will also have:

Experience in delivering exceptional customer service to our facility users
The ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential
Strong communication skills
Pro-actively supervise the pool environment to prevent incidents, accidents, emergencies, and hazards.
Confident swimming ability; you will be required to complete a swim test as follows:

200m continuously in less than 6 mins
50m breaststroke
25m side stroke
5 mins treading water
Picking up an object from the deepest part of the pool (2m)
