Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeYour role will involve:Design and deployment of IT systems involving both cloud and on-premise solutions.Proven management and resourcing of IT projects.Involvement in providing advice and guidance on areas of technology.Be the focal point for IT escalations and taking ownership until the issues are resolved.Administer, monitor, and maintain client's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and associated hardware and software.Implement and maintain security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cybersecurity threats.Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, operating systems, and other IT infrastructure components.
Ensure system performance, reliability, and availability through regular monitoring and performance tuning.Provide technical expertise and support during the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT projects.
Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to meet project requirements and align with business goals.Identify opportunities for system and process improvements, evaluating emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Proactively propose and implement enhancements to optimize IT infrastructure performance, reliability, and security.For your application to be successful your skills will include:Proven excellence in client service and naturally empathetic able to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.High level of analytical experience, providing technical fault analysis and troubleshooting as a Level 2 or Level 3 Engineer.Have advanced knowledge and be well practiced in Windows Server technologies.Ability to think critically and solve difficult problems with effective solutions rather than being a passive recipient of information.Hold a relevant and current Microsoft certification, Ms-100 - MS500 certifications preferred but not essential.Solid experience in all things cloud, including Office 365, Azure.Networking skills including the deployment and support of firewalls/switches of mainstream vendors including Fortinet, Cisco, HP etc.Familiarity with enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.The people we are looking for have:An upbeat, engaging, positive and CAN DO attitude.Advanced communication skills both written and verbal.Confidence to challenge the status quo.Ability to manage your time effectively.Someone who values relationships with a sense of humour.Awesome attention to detail, you don't miss a thing.Tendency to constantly be passionate about learning new technology.Relevant industry certifications or qualifications.Flexible to mentor and coach Level 1 & 2 Engineers.All applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and are currently residing in NZ.
