Senior Lecturer - Master of Software EngineeringWe are looking for a Senior Lecturer to deliver the highest standards of teaching and research in Software Engineering Design and Development by ensuring optimum learning environments for students enrolled in the Master of Software Engineering programme.Teaching and research standards will be upheld by contributing to the ongoing maintenance and development of the Master of Software Engineering Curriculum and by maintaining an active engagement with cutting-edge research that results in peer-reviewed outputs.Key Responsibilities will include:Leading lectures, tutorials, and practical workshops that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience.Ensuring study programmes are current, cutting-edge, and reflect a depth and breadth of disciplinary expertise, validated through evidence-based quality assurance.Designing and delivering appropriate student assessments and providing effective and timely feedback.Contributing to the research and publication output of Yoobee College of Creative Innovation and the faculty through participation in appropriate research projects.Attracting, supporting, and guiding postgraduate students with research development and degree completion.Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness.Collaborating with colleagues to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment for students.About you/Key RequirementsHold (or currently pursuing) a PhD degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (or other closely related disciplines) with a demonstrated record of published research in Software Engineering or a closely aligned discipline.Strong subject matter knowledge and ability to teach in one or more of the following courses: Professional Software Engineering, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Quantum Computing, Data Analytics, Cloud Security, and Blockchain technology.Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students.Understanding of student learning and effective teaching methods.Knowledge of current trends and practices in the software engineering field.Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.Evidence of student project supervision with prior teaching/industry experience.Active involvement in research demonstrated by high-quality journal/conference papers.Effective networking skills to maintain links with current practice in the professional arena to provide opportunities for students.Experience of participating in innovative research programmes.Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga, kawa of cultural practice and traditions, and valuing te reo Maori.Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Who are we?At Yoobee Colleges, we believe learning should be defined by the exceptional.
