Nga korero mo te turanga – About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the development and delivery of our Sport and Human Performance degree. The role will participate in undergraduate teaching, including the conduct of lectures to large student cohorts, as well as small group workshops, laboratories, and seminars. This role will also supervise honours, graduate, and postgraduate students, as well as student work integrated learning experiences, as required. This role will further maintain quality research and contribute to knowledge development through scholarship and publication.
The salary of a Senior Lecturer position will range between $107,177 to 140,599 per year, commensurate with the level of appointment, qualifications, skills, and experience. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

Ko wai koe? – Who are you?
You are a PhD in a discipline relevant to Sport Coaching or a related discipline, who thrives in a higher education environment, where you enjoy teaching, postgraduate supervision, as well as maintaining and developing original scholarship and research. You possess a research profile relevant to the study of Sport coaching, and a keen interest to build interdisciplinary collaborations with staff across the School, particularly in the areas of Human Performance Science (i.e. skill acquisition, performance analysis, strength and conditioning, psychology).
You are self-motivated and quick learning, with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of our great team. An ability to relate effectively and sensitively to students and staff from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is essential.
