The appointing salary for this role will be between $80,000 and $95,000, dependent on skills and experience.
The Senior Lecturer in Business is based in our School of Business | Te Pukenga reporting to the Head of School and will be responsible for:
Curriculum Development: Prepare and update curriculum for assigned courses, participate in course development, and ensure alignment with Academic Approval Committee requirements.Student Learning: Facilitate effective learning experiences, provide clear learning objectives, and maintain professional standards.Assessment: Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and conduct internal and external moderation of course assessments.Research: Plan and achieve research output targets, ensure research relevance to local industry and community needs, and contribute to the institution's research profile.Communication and Team Building: Meet regularly with the teaching team, attend relevant meetings, and develop positive working relationships across all campuses.To be successful in this role you will have: Teaching Experience: Proven experience in teaching at the tertiary level, including postgraduate teaching, with expertise in supporting Postgraduate Business qualifications.Curriculum Development: Knowledge and experience in curriculum development and delivering learning through various modes, including face-to-face and online.Educational Technologies: Proficiency in using educational technologies, such as learning management systems (e.g., Moodle) and web conferencing tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).Research: Commitment to undertaking research and scholarly activities that meet PBRF requirements and contribute to the institution's research profile.Interpersonal Skills: Well-developed oral, written, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to plan, meet deadlines, and coordinate academic delivery effectively.As an inclusive and supportive employer, we value diversity and want to encourage anyone interested to apply, regardless of whether you tick all the boxes or not.
