Senior Lecturer in Electronic and Control Engineering Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering within the School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences at AUT is seeking to appoint a permanent full-time Senior Lecturer in the area of Electronic and Control Engineering. Candidates should have a PhD degree and three or more years of postdoctoral experience in academia and/or industry in relevant areas. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong track record in publishing high-quality research papers in top-tier scientific journals; significant experience in applying for and successfully acquiring external research grants; and proficiency in teaching practical skills in electronic circuit design/fabrication/troubleshooting, programmable logic controllers, microcontrollers, and embedded systems. Experience with consulting to business and industry as well as competency with software packages such as Altium Designer, Ansys Electronics, NI Labview, and SCADA are highly desirable. The start date will be in November 2024 or by negotiation. This position involves conducting high-quality research, teaching, and developing academic programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A successful applicant will be expected to contribute to research and postgraduate supervision in one or more of the above-mentioned areas through their specialist field and take a leading role in service teaching. The salary level offered, and related workload conditions will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
