The role/Te mahi
This Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor role represents an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to ongoing teaching of dental students while being well supported by a collegial and dynamic Faculty and University.
Key tasks for this position include:
Conducting research-informed teaching across a range of courses in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry programmes.
Contributing to curriculum design for undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research.
Undertaking research resulting in quality-assured publications within the discipline, either individually or as part of a group.
Contributing to the running of the Department, School, Division and the University.

The successful candidate must be a dentist who is registerable with the Dental Council (New Zealand) in the endodontic specialist scope of practice.
The successful candidate will have:
A record of internationally peer-reviewed published research.
Excellent teaching skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
A collaborative and collegial approach to work.
Full understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the University's Maori Strategic Framework.
It would be preferred that the successful candidate also holds a PhD or equivalent.

This is a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) position based in Dunedin.
The salary range for this position is: Senior Lecturer $138,548 to $172,693 and Associate Professor $182,938 to $198,302 per annum.
