Oceania Dairy is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Laboratory team as a Senior Technician, working in collaboration with all departments across site to manage and meet demands and ensure the continuity of laboratory service. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day laboratory operations, managing your shift, arranging staff training and providing input into process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: Arranging daily tasks and day-to-day testing to technicians, ensuring we are meeting TAT. Send delay escalations of any test methods. Arrange 1:1's with technicians in the lab. Escalate any issues regarding instruments and troubleshoot. Send detailed handovers to the next shift and improve communication in the lab. Authorize results as a KTP and make sure all quality requirements are met. Minimum Requirements: Tertiary Qualification in Science or equivalent and min 2 years' experience in an IANZ Accredited Laboratory. Experience as a key training person, with good understanding of ISO 17025 (2017) in relevant discipline and all laboratory related compliance systems. Working knowledge and experience of using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Method validation/verification of test methods, documentation of SOP's and validation reports will be an advantage. Ability to train, motivate, meet/exceed deadlines and ability to work under pressure and be flexible. Why choose Oceania Dairy?
