What's the role?RoleIn this 12-month fixed-term position as a Senior Business Analyst based in either of our offices in Tamaki Makaurau Auckland, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington or Otautahi Christchurch, you will be a vital part of the wider IT Business Analysis team who are changing the way we pay our people across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond! Your role will include:Leading the capture and documentation of requirements, scope, and business processes for IT projects.Facilitating workshops and interviews with subject matter experts and stakeholders from all levels of the business.Assisting with the development of test scripts and end-to-end testing to ensure that the system is delivered to the agreed requirements.Developing handover and transitioning to operations documents including process, training, and procedural documentation.You'll also assist the portfolio and project managers in identifying, reporting, and resolving risks and issues throughout the life of the project, as well as collaborating with solution & technical architects during the requirements gathering and solution design stages.What does it take?First, you'll have a genuine passion for best-practice Payroll solutions! We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.The Successful Candidate Will Possess The FollowingExperience: Proven experience (of at least 7 years) with payroll project implementation across Aotearoa New Zealand and/or Australia, specifically as a business analyst in Waterfall/PRINCE2 projects – eliciting requirements, creating documentations, managing requirements from definition through to the testing process, etc.Technical Aptitude: Experience with Ramco will be highly regarded. You may have experience working with Workday HCM. You'll already be an expert with Microsoft Excel for the cleansing and analysing of data.Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills. You'll be comfortable in leading workshops and interviews.New Zealand Work Rights: Must already have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.Project Skills: Experience working in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project methodologies and within different sized project teams.Resilience: Experience working with and managing business stakeholders, application owners, and external vendors to suggest the best approaches and practices for eliciting IT initiative requirements and assessing the risks and impacts of initiatives on our business.Who is Aurecon?Aurecon's strength has always been our people.
