Senior/ Intermediate Field Hydrologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Intermediate Field Hydrologist to join our team in Central Otago. This role is suited to someone who enjoys spending time in the field as well as the office, as you will be overseeing the monitoring and management of a large network of water take sites across Otago and Southland. The role is highly autonomous and requires good self-management and planning to deliver a high level of service to our Otago and Southland clientele and the ability to problem-solve in the field.A broad knowledge of regional planning and consenting is preferable, as is a knowledge of relevant government legislation.In addition, the role involves providing water usage and hydrological technical reports to clients and internally to the planning team to support consent applications.Water quality monitoring project planning, implementation and reporting is a routine exercise completed within this role. Source water risk management plan reporting is required annually.
