Location: Whakatu, Hastings, Hawkes BayThe Senior Industrial Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems and solutions to optimize manufacturing and production processes.

Our team is dedicated to creating a dynamic and supportive work environment where every employee can thrive.Key Responsibilities:Design and Development:Develop and implement automation solutions to improve manufacturing processes.Design control systems and PLC programs using industry-standard tools.Integrate robotics, machine vision, and other advanced automation technologies.System Integration and Testing:Integrate automation systems with existing manufacturing equipment and processes.Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure performance and reliability.Develop and execute test plans and document test results.Implement changes and improvements based on test feedback and production needs.Maintenance and Support:Provide ongoing support for automated systems to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems.Train maintenance staff and operators on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems.Develop and maintain documentation, including manuals and troubleshooting guides.Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technologies and industry trends.Implement best practices and standards in automation engineering.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, automation engineering, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing automation solutions in a manufacturing environment.Technical Skills:Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).Experience with SCADA systems and HMI development.Knowledge of robotics, machine vision systems, and industrial communication protocols.Understanding of safety standards and regulations related to industrial automation.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent project management and organizational abilities.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
