The Role and You
Our Deskside Support team is the backbone of ICT services for the Council and CCO's. Operating primarily within Microsoft 365, we manage and administer endpoint devices - including laptops, desktops, meeting room technology, and various other systems and platforms, both remotely and onsite. We're committed to maintaining the Council's security posture for endpoint devices and accounts while continuously enhancing the service and experience for our kaimahi.
As the Senior ICT Support Analyst, you'll be the go-to expert for third-level ICT support across the organization. You'll ensure the effective, efficient, and secure operation of WCC's desktop environment, handle a wide range of service requests, and provide the information needed to resolve them. No two days are the same - you will deal with different questions and issues every day.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience with Microsoft 365, including developing and maintaining compliance, configuration, conditional access policies, complex application packaging and deployment, and managing endpoint devices (Windows, Android, and Teams rooms). MacOS and iOS experience is a plus.
Experience in prioritizing and diagnosing 2nd and 3rd level incidents, investigating root causes, and driving resolutions while identifying and implementing service improvements.
Develop and implement technical solutions, and document and detail them.
Provide expert ICT advice and guidance.
A desire to maximize the value of Wellington City Council's ICT technologies.
Mentoring and guiding ICT support.
Wanting to be part of setting future trends and technology roadmaps.
